Jennifer Hughes Hernandez is a Senior Loan Officer and Top Producer with Legacy Mutual Mortgage, a Texas based mortgage company. Since 1995, Jennifer has built her business 100% from referrals in the realtor community, past clientele and business network. Jennifer and her team’s reputation is known for closing accurately, on time, and with lots of communication to deliver a customized lending experience. Jennifer has had the honor of helping over 4600 families to date finance their homes.

Jennifer is passionate about paying it forward through mentorship and coaching. From 2012 to 2022 Jennifer in her spare time was a business coach with Core Training Inc. At the Core, she had the opportunity to coach and mentor over 230 top producing lenders to double their businesses! Jennifer has become so passionate about mentoring, that she holds a minimum of 3 learning events per month, to add value and relevance to her realtor and business partners growth.

To keep the education going, Jennifer started a YouTube Channel (@LoanWithJen) in 2018 in order to empower buyers and realtors with real facts, no BS about mortgage lending and home buying. Jennifer releases 2 videos a week on a wide variety of topics in order to educate buyers so they can make informed decisions on their next home purchase or refinance.

In 2023 Jennifer became an author! Her first book ‘Big Hug Big Kiss- How I Became a Referral Magnet and You Can Too’, is a testament to her enduring career, and is determined to provide a pathway to other entrepreneurs to build their business on trusted referrals as well.

Jen’s greatest passion is caring for her family. Providing for a full household of 2 kids, parents in law, and their boxer, Mini, could not be possible without the loving support and teamwork of her husband, Fernando. They met when she was an exchange student through Texas A&M and a university in Monterrey, Mexico. As a gesture of paying it forward to other international students, Jennifer and her family have hosted a student from Denmark for a year through AFS, and also every summer they open up their guest house to host students selling books for Southwestern Advantage. They plan to do this for as many years as they can.
