Mark loves to close. When he opens the office in the morning, all he can think about is closing! Since 1994, Mark Smith has helped families buy and refinance homes, with more than 5,000 loans closed. Based in Austin, he started as an underwriter, so he knows what gets a file approved before it ever goes in. Today he leads The Mark Smith Team at Legacy Mutual Mortgage, specializing in FHA, VA and conventional loans, mortgages for self-employed borrowers, and non-QM loans (DSCR, bank statement and more). First-time buyer, veteran, business owner, investor or move-up buyer, Mark will walk you through rates, programs and loan structure. He’s always available for your questions. Don’t stop believing. To start off, we were initially denied for our mortgage home loan with our first lender. We thought everything was going to be okay, but we reached out to Mark and his team, and in less than 15 days, we were approved for our loan!
